It's the end of February! The "cabin fever" factor is starting to kick in. Maybe some of the following will help.
The Escape Java Joint Open Mic
There are great, new things happening at the Escape Java Joint Open Mic! Starting on Thursday March 5th the Open Mic will start a live webstream. That means that even if you don't live in or around Madison, WI you'll be able to join us. You'll even be able to comment on the action in real time. Just go to www.reddragonfreepress.com at 8:00pm on any Thursday night and you'll be able to join the fun. In the near future we'll be expecting a lot of talented songwriters. See the next item for details on that.
F.A.W.M.
F.A.W.M. stand for February Album Writing Month. It's an online songwriter's challenge which involves creative people worldwide. The challenge is to write fourteen songs in the twenty-eight days of February. I'm up to twelve. So, I've got a lot of work to do today to make the deadline. Other Stuff
Over and around trying to write fourteen songs, I've been on the road with my partner, Sandy Andina, for most of February. I'll write more about that little trip later. We had many strange and wonderful adventures. Did you know that it's possible for a GPS unit to have a nervous breakdown? Until this trip, I didn't.
